Big Rotary News! Congrats to our recent 50/50 winner,
Rick Friesen, who stopped by our field trip lunch today at
Moby Dick’s, to collect his winnings from our spring Book Sale — a cool
$2,600 (half of the $5,200 jackpot)!
And in true Rotary spirit, Rick
generously donated half of his winnings —
$1,300 — back to our
club's charity account! That means the club walked away with a grand total of
$3,900.
PLUS, our new
Square tap machine brought in an extra
$1,151, which we would have missed out on last year when we were cash-only. For comparison, last year's total was $2,000 — so the tech upgrade paid off!
