The Rotary Club of White Rock Community Service Director Ron Compton delivered a donation of $700 to the Option Community Service's White Rock/South Surrey Extreme Weather Shelter. The donation will be used for the purchase of warm gloves, undergarments, and personal hygiene products for the shelter guests. The shelter is set to hold up to 20 guests per night. It is being hosted by the Peace Portal Alliance Church and will be open from November to March seven days a week from 8:00pm-7:00am.
Ron,
That's fantastic news!
Ron, I just want to say Thank You! to you and the White Rock Rotary for such a generous donation.  When you look outside on a day like this, you can imagine how thankful people are to have warm, dry cloths after being soaking wet and cold all day.  The rotary donation helps ensure we have the supplies to offer clients coming into the temporary shelter.
Thank you all so much for your continued efforts to help the members of our community who have the least!
