Feb 9, 2021 - Corporate members from the Chinese Village Society presented a history and meaning of the New Year. Most club members enjoyed a meal of traditional food that was put together by Karen Huang and picked up at Sun Given Foods. Bo Long supplied the sweetest little oranges. Sophie Jin gave us an explanation of some of the symbols, which included a paper cutting contest led by Ying Lui. It was wonderful to see the young school children from Newbridge Academy perform some dances. It is amazing what can happen on a Zoom call. Thanks to all involved for a great event, and may the year of the ox bring only good fortune.
