The Rotary club of White Rock is a service organization made up of “a supportive group of individuals making sustainable improvements in the world through meaningful local and international actions”.
There are 34,282 member clubs worldwide, and 1.2 million individuals, working with & in the Community.
Locally, The Rotary Club of White Rock actively sponsors … a School Breakfast club, Kids Lit Circle at Semiahmoo Mall, offers scholarships annually & its members work to support the community supporting Sea Festival, Beach Clean Up, Remembrance Day, Food Bank, Peace Arch Hospital, Salvation Army Kettles and more.
Internationally, we have supported Health improvements in Uganda, The Zoe Health Clinic in Honduras and have partnered with other international Organizations on numerous projects.
Rotary International is a founding partner in The Global Polio Eradication initiative, a public-private partnership led by national governments with 5 partners – the World Health Organization (WHO), Rotary International, the US Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) & the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Its goal is to eradicate polio worldwide and to date, is gone in all but 3 countries.
Our Semi-Annual Used Book Sales are appreciated by the Community where they can donate treasured books, source more to read and feel good that the proceeds go to improvements in the Community.
