Awards, New Members, and a Rare Look Inside North Korea

From celebrating milestones to welcoming new faces, our latest Rotary meeting was full of heart! We honored Terry Peel with a Paul Harris +5 Award for his incredible $6,000 contribution to the Rotary Foundation and officially inducted Uta Nagel, whose creative energy is a fantastic addition to our club. With our Charitable Book Sale (April 10-14) and the Easter Bunny Hop (April 3) just around the corner, there are plenty of ways to get involved and make a difference!
 
Greg Duly, former Asia Regional Director for Save the Children, shared photos, videos, and insights from his visits to North Korea, offering a rare outside perspective on the country’s conditions. He brought more than 35 years of humanitarian leadership across Africa and Asia, including leading major Save the Children responses in Sri Lanka after the 2004 tsunami and in Liberia during the 2015 Ebola crisis.

We need help with: Delivery of a tent and barbeque Cooking and serving hotdogs Setup and take down Spreading good cheer Please contact at if you can help. It should be a very fun event.

● Rotary District Assembly on Saturday April 11 (overlap with Booksale) Wonderful Rotary training opportunity and meet lots of fellow Rotarians from around the District. We are happy to pay for any club members who would like to attend. ● Rotary District Conference May 1 - 3 in Harrison Hot Springs Focussing on climate resilience, mental health and hands-on service projects
