White Rock Rotary Book Sale

A huge thank you to everyone who supported the White Rock Rotary Book Sale
from August 28 to September 1.
Thanks to our wonderful community, the sale generated $70,841 in book sales, welcomed 4,764 shoppers, and saw an estimated 33,727 books find new homes over the five days.
We are very grateful to everyone who came to shop, donated books, volunteered, helped promote the sale, or contributed in any other way. Your support continues to make the Book Sale a wonderful community tradition and helps Rotary support worthwhile projects in our community and beyond.
We’re already looking forward to welcoming everyone back for our next Book Sale in April 2027.

Volunteer With the Book Sale
Volunteers were essential to the success of this major community event. From setup and organizing books to assisting customers, keeping displays tidy, and helping with cleanup afterward, their time, energy, and teamwork helped make the Book Sale a success.
Our work continues throughout the year, and we are always looking for volunteers to help sort and organize donated books in preparation for the next sale. It’s a great way to get involved, meet others, and help keep this important community fundraiser going.

Donate Books
Donations of clean, gently used books, puzzles, and audiobooks are appreciated throughout the year. Book donations may still be placed in the blue donation bin on the north side of the Rotary Fieldhouse at 2197 148 Street, Surrey.
Large donations can be delivered directly to the warehouse on Monday mornings from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., when volunteers are available to assist with unloading. Please do not leave donations outside the bin.
For year-round book donations at the Rotary Fieldhouse, see the information below.
Book Sale Newsletter
Donations of books, puzzles and audio books in good condition are welcome. Our customers do not want magazines, university textbooks, encyclopedias, manuals, damaged or dirty books. We are looking for books that you would want to gift to a friend. You would be surprised what arrives in the bin that is not a book.
Books can be donated 24/7 at the Blue Bin in the driveway on the North side of the Rotary Fieldhouse, located at 2197 148 St, Surrey, south of the Surrey Eagles Hockey Arena. We provide empty boxes in the bin for you to use for loose books. Large donations can be dropped off Monday or Thursday mornings from 9-11 a.m. while we are sorting in the warehouse. We can help you unload directly into the book warehouse and not fill up the bin. If you need help with picking up a large donation of books, we can help. Contact us at rotaryclub.booksale@gmail.com for assistance.

Please do not leave books outside the bin as they will get damaged. If you need to drop off books and bin is full, please put the books in one of the empty grey bins and close the lid. The bin is emptied everyday.
