We were honored to host Jerry Zdril, President and Shipping Manager of Rotary World Help (RWH) and a dedicated member of the Chilliwack Rotary Club, along with his wife Roberta and fellow club member Steve Fishling. A warm welcome also to potential new member, Kimberly Cook!
Jerry shared the inspiring history of RWH, which began in 1993 after Rotarians discovered critical shortages in Ukrainian hospitals post-Soviet collapse. Now, RWH delivers vital medical and educational supplies to 61 countries around the world.
To date, RWH has shipped over 478 containers (valued at $165 million!) to the developing world, all thanks to partnerships with local Rotary Clubs and generous donations from hospitals and care homes. Each 40-foot container holds an average of $350K CAD in life-saving equipment. This incredible work truly exemplifies Rotary's International Service!
Thank you, Jerry, Roberta, and Steve, for your dedication to making a difference!
